Digital & Sustainable: LG UNVEILS 19″ E-newsreader

E-readers have become the talk of the town. Kindle may have been the most sold online product this year but with innovations like Skiff and Nook the world of reading is bound to change forever. Interestingly the market is flooded with news of what the future of news will be :). In a world where New York times may start charging you for reading their online newspaper and Skiff may extinguish the need for newspapers altogether; LG have revealed a powerful competitor for Kindle, Nook and Skiff – The LG E-Newsreader.

Other e-readers available in the market (including the Skiff) have been too small to fully replace the magnitude of a real newspaper. LG Display in South Korea revealed their prototype of the Digital Newspaper recently. What’s amazing about this product is that it’s digital, it’s as thin as a real newspaper (meaning it has a thickness of 0.3 millimeters) and it provides the excitement of holding and carrying a newspaper with you. Once released the product would also reduce the need to buy a newspaper as now your news is available digitally. LG’s e-newspaper is a 19-inch flexible e-paper that is almost as large and equally flexible as a paper newspaper would be.
