Animate & Share with Casio

Casio USA launched a new service called Animate and Share yesterday 12/14/2009. We decided to try out this new service and make some holiday greeting cards ourselves. The service allows customers/users to create animated greeting cards by using their personal photographs. This service comes right in time for the holiday season. It uses fun and funky graphics to allow users to create great animated Christmas cards.  Designing Christmas greetings has never been more fun. If you like taking pictures and love animating them, this is the site for you.

The site introduces users to a new virtual experience of creating Dynamic greeting cards. The site allows users to share greeting cards via email and Facebook. Unlike other sites, the cards are personal to each individual and allow for experimentation with the medium. Previously this technique (the green screen effect) has been used in Hollywood movies to create some mesmerizing effects. Now, Casio are offering it to users to develop their own Dynamic Graphics. The site is compatible with Casios Exilim camera range.

Have a look at the steps below to learn more about this new tech site:

when you go to the website, click on Animate & Share – the site will ask you to upload a photo
Upload an image and click next
then select an animation
Then select the way you wish to share (you can post to gallery, send as a greeting or download).
and your animated greeting is ready

You can view our animated greeting card here (click on the link).

In a press release yesterday Casio USA annouced the new site:

“At the heart of the EXILIM digital camera design is the idea that a product purchase is driven by one’s lifestyle and interests and is more likely to trigger an emotional sale than one sold on price or promotion. Dynamic Photo is a feature that drives users to do more with photography and have fun at the same time.

“We are thrilled to offer a fun and interesting way to take pictures and share their creations with friends and family,” says Toshi Iguchi, senior general manager of Casio’s Digital Imaging Division. “The Animate And Share Web site offers prospective customers a glimpse into the EXILIM line and allows them to engage in the photo process without making a purchase.”

Visit to experience Dynamic Photo for yourself.”
